A-LEAF, the European project to develop a full artificial leaf led by ICIQ group leader Prof. Galán-Mascarós, officially kicked off. The inauguration took place in Tarragona with a meeting between the 13 partner institutions, including leading materials company COVESTRO.A-LEAF recently received 8 million euros in H2020-FET funding to develop a funtioning prototype of an artificial leaf within the next 4 years. This device will transform water and CO2 into oxygen and renewable fuels through the action of sunlight.
